Who we are
This policy describes how Pomodoro Focus (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Pomodoro Focus Chrome extension and its related billing service.
You can contact us through the extension’s Chrome Web Store listing.
Information we handle
Stored on your device. The extension saves your timer state, preferences, focus statistics, blocked-site list, and billing status in Chrome’s local extension storage. Your chosen blocked domains are used to create local browser blocking rules. The extension does not send your browsing history or the pages you visit to our billing service.
Sent to our billing service. The extension creates a random installation ID. When it checks access or reports a focus session, it sends that ID and, when relevant, the number of sessions to our server. The server stores the ID, session-use count, Pro status, and timestamps needed to keep access in sync.
When you buy Pro. Checkout is provided by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes payment details on its own checkout pages. Our server receives identifiers and purchase or subscription status needed to activate Pro, issue receipts through Stripe, handle refunds, or manage older subscriptions. We do not receive your full card number through the extension.
Technical request data. Our server applies a short-lived IP-based request limit. The hosting provider may also create connection or security logs under its own settings and retention rules.
This legal website. These static pages contain no analytics code and do not intentionally set cookies. The web host may process ordinary connection logs. Stripe Checkout is a separate service and may use its own technologies under Stripe’s notices.
How we use information
We use installation and session information to provide the free-use limit, check Pro access, synchronize access after checkout, prevent excessive requests, and maintain the service. Stripe processes payment information to complete transactions and provide its payment services.
When information is shared
We share information with service providers only as needed to run the extension’s billing features, including Stripe for checkout and the provider hosting the billing server. Those providers handle information under their own terms and privacy notices. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Stripe’s privacy information is available at stripe.com/privacy .
Retention and security
Extension settings and statistics remain in Chrome’s local storage until you clear or remove them. Billing records are kept for as long as needed to provide access, maintain payment records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards for the service, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You can change or clear local extension data through Chrome’s extension settings. You may also contact us through the extension’s Chrome Web Store listing to ask about information associated with your installation ID or to exercise privacy rights that apply where you live. We may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant record.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to complain to a privacy regulator.
Children
Pomodoro Focus is not designed for children. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us through the extension’s Chrome Web Store listing.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will revise the effective date above and, where required, provide notice through the website or extension.
